Yikes!!

Ticked and jazzed and nervous all at the same time, what a combo!!  I am ticked that for some stupid reason on the ONE night of the week that I actually allow myself to crash in front of the tv and indulge in a little me time, Dish Network seems to be having issues with my local CBS network.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience.  We are aware that this channel is unavailable right now and we are working to restore it.  Please do not call us.”

Okay, well maybe not those same words exactly, but that was the basic jist of the huge bold letters that were plastered on my screen instead of my beloved tv shows, Survivor and CSI.  Can you say steaming?  I am sure there was smoke rising from my ears for a few hours as I kept checking the channel only to find that it still wasn’t restored to its former glory.  I couldn’t help but wonder how many other ticked off people there were in Bozeman last night.

On the other hand, I am jazzed about a couple of things…  I have been steadily working away at getting ready for my surgery.  The house is stocked, I have started to make some freezer meals and I have acquired about 12 books for reading in the first two weeks after surgery.  Tomorrow I am all set up to make some more freezer stuff like enchiladas, meat loaf, chicken pot pie and the pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving.  If the guys are nice, I might even make cookies and pop them in the freezer.

The one thing I am super jazzed about is that I paid 1.99, yes that’s right 1.99 a gallon for gas today!!  WOOHOO!!!!  I honestly can’t remember when the last time was I saw gas that low.

So the thing I am nervous about…  I am honestly kinda shaking in my boots about this one.  My youngest, my baby (all 6”1 of him!) has an appointment in 30 minutes for his driving test.  If he passes, tonight I let him loose amongst other licensed drivers, alone, without me, into that big bad world of crazy drivers, did I already say alone?? I am just a little freaked out about this one, more so than I was with Brad.  Someone give me strength!!!

Okay enough for now, I’ll let you know how the test goes J

I have no idea how I missed this!

Apparently Jenn tagged me (like a week ago!!)  Duh - where have I been?

Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog:
Share SEVEN facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird...just 7 facts. :) Tag 7 people at the end of your post and make sure to let them know they've been tagged!

Hmmm...  I wonder if I can even come up with seven things?

1.  I LOVE the smell of freshly mown grass, lilacs, coffee, a salty sea breeze and the air right after a rainstorm.

2.  I was Carnival Princess my Freshman year :)

3.  I want a tattoo (please Dad don't be mad at me!!).  I envision a really cool butterfly on my right shoulder with lots of other ones trailing out behind it a tons of swirls in full color.  I think it will actually end up being pretty big and I am hoping that I can have it strategically done so that a few of the smaller butterflies and swirls peek out from under a tank top.  I have been trying to work up the courage to get it done for a few years ago now, but I really do think I WANT this.   I have admired tattoos online and on other people for quite some time now. I actually stopped a gal on the street this past summer to talk to her about her butterfly tattoo!

4.  I LOVE to read.  I like all kinds of books, historical, science fiction, period romances, Harry Potter, Outlander series (my FAVE of all time!!!) and some serious smutty romances!  In fact Kristin brought me about 10 or so smutty romances to read while I am laid up with surgery :)  Let the reading begin!

5.  In 1988 I met Hank Williams Jr.  He commissioned my brother to do a custom gun for him and he flew into the little Chehalis WA airport and came out to my parents shop to pick up the rifle.  Somewhere I have a picture of my brother and Hank standing in front of the gun shop.

6.  I have a patch of jet black hair under my chin that I have to pluck every day - yuck!!!  It disgusts me, I hate it and I am obsessed with making sure that I never have any stray hair showing, it's so ungirly like!  I mean I understand why we have testosterone and all, but did I really need to be blessed with this little ugly spider under my chin??  Yikes!

7.  I am a people watcher.  Whether it be at the mall or the grocery store, unless I am on a mission myself, I am always people watching.  I have learned some interesting things from watching people :)  I have also seen the most oddly dressed people that way too, especially little old ladies.  Lord help me when I get to that age, my hubby had better tell me if I look stupid or heaven help him!

So now that you know my deep, dark secrets (especially the spider under my chin!) I wouldn't blame you if you took my name off your favorites list!  But seriously I hope you enjoyed it and I am looking forward to seeing what these people have to say about when they are tagged!  Okay so I am tagging...

Have a good night everyone!

Crop time...

So Saturday I had the girls over and we scrapped the night away in my dungeon (corny I know!)  But I have to tell you I was super impressed with Elizabeth.  She whipped out the July kit and was able to make 12 pages and like 6 cards with it!!  Kristin got 6 pages done, I got 3 pages, 3 cards and a mini album done and I forgot to ask Jen how many pages she did (psst, let me know ok?)

Anyway, I found this page as I was cleaning up down there that I had forgotten to upload.  It was with the August kit and the July letters.  I love how it turned out and I can't believe that I forgot to take a picture of it!!

A boy and his dog

Saturday night has kinda got me in the scrapping mood so after I work on the SPS January kit for a while I am going to head back to the dungeon :)

Otherwise known as Monkey...

I have no idea how he got that name, or how he got the name Roni since his name is Chevy.  But that's what the guys call him.  Me?  I call him pretty boy :)  Which the guys hate, but isn't he pretty?  His coat is all sleek and shiny and he is such a good looking dog.  We even have people stop us on our walks to tell us what a good looking lab he is.  So here you go Chevy, Monkey, or pretty boy or whatever your name may be at the moment, here's another chance to shine in the spotlight, (I get a finders fee if this get's you a girlfriend, right?)

I am scrapping today!!

I am just taking a quick break from spiffing up the house a little to say how excited I am that Jen , Kristin and  Elizabeth are heading over to my house to scrap this afternoon.  I am whipping up a big old pot of white chicken chili (it's kinda on the mexi side of chili) and the girls are bring appetizers and we are just going to laugh and scrap and catch up :)

Better get going, still have some stuff to get done :)

Feeling a bit under the weather...

and a lot tired this past week.  But I need to snap out of it because I am hosting a scrapping party on Saturday!!  A group of four (maybe 5) of us in the dungeon hanging out and scrapping into the night, I can't wait!!  I haven't scrapped in forever and I am itching to get some pages done.  I have NO IDEA what I am going to work on though, hopefully I can get that figured out between now and then!

Also SPS had a cool exciting announcement this week.  We have chosen a new design team for 2009 :)  Yikes was it ever hard this year though.  We had sooo many vey cool and talented applicants and it was very hard to choose just 4 from the 36 that entered.  Be sure to check them out at the SPS vine .

Hope everyone is having a great week and happy Friday for tomorrow :)

Mmmm...

My coffee was wonderful this morning :)  I savored every drip!  I got some things accomplished in the dungeon last night.  I worked a little on a mini book, and some more trees (green ones with apples) and got some goodies packaged up to send out to some friends.  Tonight I really need to finish up another project and then it's time to sort the SPS kits for November :)

Alrighty local ladies - do you want the 8th or the 15th for a get together??  Daytime or evening?  Let me know (I will e-mail you all too) and we can make a date!!  Jenn S - I wish you could come down for the weekend!!!

7th heaven...

It's back!  Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer by International Delights :)  I found it tonight at Safeway and all night I have been waiting to set my alarm and jump into bed because that means that I am closer to morning so I can enjoy my favorite coffee creamer of all time, mmm...  I can smell the coffee already :)

So for all you locals - when do you want to scrap?  A Saturday during the day or at night? Just let me know and I will pull it together in the next couple of weeks before I am off for surgery.  Yep, it's my turn now.  I am having my "female parts" removed in a few weeks.  I CAN'T WAIT!!  Take it, I am totally NOT attached to my uterus in any way shape or form, well I guess I am physically, but emotionally - heck no!   Plus it helps that I have the cutest OB-GYN in the Bozeman area, thanks Jen K for the referral!

I was having lunch last week at the hospital cafeteria with friends and he came in.  He stopped by our table and said hello and my friends were swooning.  Then they found out he was my doctor!  It was a pretty comical scene :)

Good night for now - see you all tomorrow :)
